I grew up in Massachusetts, lived for a time in Oahu, Hawaii and am now located in Montreal, Canada. After working as a special needs teacher for many years, I began to experience burnout. I decided to research other careers and came upon product design. I was always interested in the arts, I even started my college career in studio art. I also became interested in human behavior through my years of teaching. I found product design to be the best of both worlds - merging my interest in art and science. I love to learn new things and find creative solutions to product problems. I have also recently started learning about web accessibility.
In my spare time, I love to plan trips and travel with my husband and family. The list of places I want to visit is ever-expanding. My happy place is on an island with palm trees or on my inflatable paddle board. I also enjoy hiking, amateur photography, reading, drawing, and gardening. I like to unwind with a good serial killer documentary or murder mystery novel (😅).
I made this fun bento grid in Jitter.video for Fons Mans' online challenge "Bento your 2024". I was one of three winners in the challenge and received a 6 month subscription to his design community 10X Design Pro.
